Professional Doula Practice: Credentialing, Insurance & Reimbursement

Professional practice readiness

For trained doulas and current students with foundational documentation, privacy and scope knowledge.

Outcomes: map privacy and vendor responsibilities; distinguish client agreements, superbills, credentialing, enrollment and payment; make reasoned NPI and record-maintenance decisions; prepare a fictional readiness portfolio and correction workflow.

Study the intact BAA, insurance, NPI and CAQH/DataSpring reference lessons, then complete the knowledge exam and practical portfolio. The provisional standard is 80% on the exam, one retake after review, and instructor acceptance of practical work.

Use fictional information only. Do not upload actual credentials, government identifiers, client records or portal screenshots. Course completion does not confer payer enrollment or guarantee reimbursement.

Version: September 19, 2026. Check official payer and platform instructions before submitting an application. Current requirements govern.
