Current Courses Preparing to Accept Enrollment

Full Spectrum Community Based Doula

This is the current full-spectrum doula certification course being built for students who want grounded, state-aware doula education. It includes online lessons, required readings, written assignments, upload reviews, exams, mentorship, documentation practice, and hands-on skills requirements.

  • Birth and postpartum doula certification curriculum
  • Childbirth education foundations for doulas
  • Scope of practice, ethics, consent, advocacy, and cultural humility
  • Pregnancy, birth, postpartum, lactation, bereavement, and referral foundations
  • Documentation as care, Medicaid and insurance readiness, and client reporting
  • Hands-on skills, mentorship, portfolio review, and final assessment

Status: enrollment is paused while the course is being prepared for new students. The public can review this overview, but the detailed lesson syllabus, student materials, assignments, quizzes, and uploads remain inside enrolled student accounts.

Creating and Facilitating a Mothers Group

This course prepares doulas and experienced peer-support facilitators to create and hold a practical mothers group that is emotionally safe, inclusive, sustainable, and clearly inside doula scope.

  • Group purpose, format, participant fit, and sustainability planning
  • Agreements, confidentiality language, referral pathways, and emergency boundaries
  • Facilitation of discussion, silence, dominant voices, conflict, distress, and disclosures
  • Birth-story sharing held as peer support, not therapy
  • A Mothers Group Launch Portfolio with first meeting plans and a 90-day launch calendar

Status: enrollment is paused. A public course overview is available now, but payment and self-enrollment are not active.

Before the LTDV Certified Doula Credential Is Issued

Students may begin the certification course before all outside certificates are complete, but certification requires documentation of required prerequisites and assignments. This includes HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, cultural humility or cultural competency work, required reading reviews, skills documentation, birth experience documentation when applicable, and final portfolio completion.

For Current Students

  1. Log into your student account.
  2. Open your enrolled courses.
  3. Continue the Full Spectrum Community Based Doula from your course list.
  4. Upload required outside certificates and assignments inside the course as you reach them.

Enrollment and Payment Status

There is no online checkout or self-enrollment active right now. If you are part of a pilot group or have been given direct enrollment instructions, follow the instructions you received from Learn to Doula Village.

If you are not sure whether you should have access yet, contact Learn to Doula Village before creating a new account or paying for anything.

Materials Needed

To complete online coursework, doulas will need reliable internet access and a computer, tablet, or other device that can open lessons, read materials, complete quizzes, and upload assignments. A phone may work for some lessons, but written assignments and file uploads are usually easier on a computer or tablet.

Doulas should also keep a dedicated course notebook, journal, or digital note space. Many lessons include short reflection questions. These notebook exercises are not graded unless a unit specifically says they are part of an assignment. They are included to help doulas slow down, process what they are learning, and build the language and judgment they will use in real birth and postpartum support.
